knowing and making known
KNowing god
As a family of God, passionate about Jesus we want to know Him as He reveals Himself to us through His word, through worship, prayer and service.
knowing one another
As a Church family we take seriously the call to love one another as Jesus loved us. We want to know one another deeply, inviting each other into our lives as messy as that may be for the purpose of striving for gospel centered lives and authentic community.
Making God Known
Go and make disciples of all nations, teaching them to obey. We believe this is a call to the local church to carry out God's mission, to redeem His people.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
GOD THE FATHER
God the Father is totally loving and completely holy. We believe that sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives. We cannot have a relationship with Him as we are, but God has made a way through Jesus.
THE WORD OF GOD
We believe that the Bible is God's Word and God has made Himself known to us through His word. It is without error, authoritative and applicable to our everyday lives.
GOD THE SON
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, as both God and man, is the only One who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, who died on the cross in our place and rose again to prove His victory over death, and empower us for life.
We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and everlasting life, we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and submit to His will for our lives.
THE CHURCH
As followers of Jesus, we become part of God's family, where everyone is welcome. We believe in the power and significance of the Church and the necessity of believers to meet regularly together for fellowship, prayer and the 'breaking of bread'.
We believe that God has individually equipped us, so that we can successfully achieve His purpose for our lives, which is to worship God, fulfil our role in the Church and the community in which we live.
GOD THE SPIRIT
We believe that the Holy Spirit works to convict us of sin and reveal Jesus to us. The Holy Spirit lives within each believer and enables us to live holy and fruitful lives, and to use our spiritual gifts to make Jesus known.
THE LAST THINGS
We believe that our eternal destination of either Heaven or Hell, is determined by our response to the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again, as He promised.
